A list of resources to help you inform mobile users of your mobile site or mobile application. These and WAP search engines and mobile search engines specifically designed to be browsed on mobile devices that you can submit your site to for inclusion in their mobile search engine results.
- MotionBridge : MotionBridge allows portal providers to keep significant traffic on its portal, customise its subscribers’ phones and promote its partners’ services.
- Google Wireless : Whether you like it or not, it will pay to submit your WAP site to Google’s index. Google may not appear to be paticularly mobile content focused at the moment, serving web pages displayed as WAP pages using a proxy service did nothing but harm to WAP Imho! But they are quitely building up a large index of WML, xHTML and cHTML pages in there index.
- Indexcell : Submit your .co.uk domain wireless site for inclusion in Indecell’s wireless search engine results. There is also a useful page here giving details on how to meta tag your pages correctly for mobile search engine spiders that may crawl your pages for mobile content.
- Cellmania : Cellmania mFinder connects a global network of mobile Internet directories. Your application will reach mobile Internet users around the world via both the wired and Wireless Web through their partners.
- Bango : By registering your site with Bango, you can use the Bango Directory to allow you to connect with a whole range of new and existing customers by driving mobile traffic to your mobile site. You are able to register keywords and a description against your content so that over 1.5 million potential customers can find your site quickly and easily.
- Yospace : Register your WAP site for indexing in the Yospace SmartDirectory. Once your service has been added to the directory it will be available to all of the portals using their technology.
- WapFinder : A Swiss WAP portal offering users a WAP search engine which you can submit your site to if the content is of interest or can be used by Swiss mobile phone users.
- Seek4Wap : Submit your WAP site to the Seek4Wap mobile search engine here . Seek4Wap is a mobile search engine that started in early 2000. You should be able to get some resonable traffic from here if you manage to get an inclusion in their WAP directory.
- WAPALL : A large directory and WAP search engine with separate regions of the World catered for using the Yospace smart directory application. The site also has some good general WAP information pages. Submit your site for inclusion in their mobile search engine results here.
