Originally, Link Checker was a useful tool for scanning and identifying problem links on your WordPress site without affecting your live production environment. In the case of a WordPress plugin to scan for broken links, you will likely want to use the plugins within a development site in Local or utilize a premium service that scans for links on the Plugin&#8217;s dedicated servers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"broken-link-checker\">Broken Link Checker<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/broken-link-checker\/\">WPMU Dev Broken Link Checker<\/a> WordPress plugin has both a &#8220;Cloud&#8221; scanner and a &#8220;Local&#8221; scanner. So fast that I was quickly rate-limited and received a number of <code>429<\/code> HTTP response codes.
